Release Date: 7th Jul 2008You will laugh your socks off - let's hope Marvin doesn't mind...
Marvin is a sheep. He has a friend called Molly, who is also a sheep, although she is a girl sheep. Perhaps the fact that she is a girl sheep precludes her from being greedy (Marvin wants More!), or in this case - being prone to temper tantrums... in any event, Marvin is a naughty sheep.
It all begins when Marvin spies a big, fat, juicy red apple hanging around on a tree branch. Marvin wants the apple - he wants it badly - but no matter how hard he tries, the apple just won't budge for him and in exhaustion, Marvin falls fast asleep. And this is where the trouble really begins - as when Marvin wakes up to find his friend Molly munching happily on HIS big, fat, juicy red apple - he quite simply get mad! He grows mad horns, mad teeth, mad feet and even a mad tail... but Marvin's temper soon lands him in trouble and until he can calm down, he's going to remain in trouble.
Deliciously mischievous, Marvin Gets Mad will have to clucking your tongue and tut tutting in disapproval, whilst trying desperately not to show your children that you actually have a huge silly grin on your face! The illustrations are genius - as is the entire concept of a mad sheep getting a miraculously mad makeover. All ages will be entralled with Marvin's antics.
I'm not convinced that the story actually sells the moral that losing your temper is BAD... but frankly - who cares? This is pure magic and I'm sure we'll see more Marvin hilarity in the future (well, I sincerely hope so).
