Short and cheerful - Donkey must find a way to get his friends to help out...

Donkey's Busy Day is essentially a rehashed version of the classic children's tale - The Little Red Hen. Donkey has been left in charge of the farm and has a very long list of jobs that the famer needs him to complete, but when Donkey goes to tell the other farm animals they all run off to enjoy themselves. Donkey tries his hardest to get on with the list of jobs by himself, but it is really hard work and he realises that he could really do with some help. The idea of a picnic finally manages to convince the others to pitch in, whilst getting all the jobs done at the same time.

Whimsically illustrated, Donkey's Busy Day will attract the younger audience who don't have the attention span or stamina for a lengthy bedtime story. It doesn't quite succeed in getting the message across that helping is good (or that it can be fun), but it makes a decent enough attempt. Although not in the same league as the classic The Little Red Hen, it will appeal to those parents who also like reward charts.
