Release Date: 4th Jan 2008Are you a Fire Horse or a Water Dog?
I couldn’t possibly divulge the year of my own birthing, but I will say that the sceptics out there may be interested to know that the observed similarities in traits as recounted by White make you feel as though she has somehow stealthily moved into your home and analysed your behaviour for years – such is the accuracy detailed in this book.
Let us not forget that whilst for some this is just a bit of light-hearted fun, for most, this is a serious subject on which they base their life-changing decisions. As White points out, it is well documented that the abortion count during the year of the Fire Horse rose significantly in certain countries. Suffice it to say, that for some this is as fundamental to their lives as eating or drinking. Now that we have things in perspective overall, I feel much happier giving my opinion...
I am not of the sombre-brigade when it comes to astrology, I believe that it can have a certain influence perhaps, but not to the extreme that some might choose to take it. Afterall, we worms are frightfully independent beings, we don’t even hang around to see our own offspring being born... but we are a curious sort and I, in particular, like to know a little about just about everything.
White delivers a complex and extremely detailed look into each of the Chinese years with a deftness and smoothness of touch that make the yards of text surprisingly enjoyable and easy to read. But one would expect as much, given the years of practice! The new version has been overhauled to a certain extent and there is plenty of original information, which will please those with a never-ending thirst for astrological insight.
For fans of the previous editions of this extremely popular title, this is a must have.
